An intentionally misleading headline which predictably ignores the fact that 49% pay ZERO INCOME TAX which is the point everyone is making. The ‘Taxes paid by the poor’ are just the Social Security and Medicare payroll taxes – so ask the poor if they mind having social security when they retire and medicare (50M) now? Or do you think they should just pay nothing for anything and all those ‘rich’ people should foot the entire bill?
