Perry, Romney, Huntsman — they’re all auditioning to play the role of Ronald Reagan.  But do they really understand the compromises Reagan made as president and how much he advanced the liberal agenda?

Seems odd the way you wrote this: 69% Dem wanted compromise.  50% of Rep didn’t.  Why not say both with the same reference direction?

The Reps realised the stupidity of kicking the can down the road.  Tax increases will result in more of the “oh we have this money lets come up with a “visionary” program to help someone “.  Spending cuts will attack the problem..overspending .  Someone just has to have the guts to stand up and make the cuts to all the programs that should be anyway.

Sally, since your so smart, please explain how Reagan made the Social Security tax “more progressive.” If you mean by raising the income limit, that doesn’t make it more progressive, because the rich pay exactly the same percentage as the poor. All the higher income limit does is entitle them to a higher pay-out. Nice try, though. “Moderate” indeed! Yes, that’s what we need, more moderate Republicans. Worked real well with McCain and Bob Dole, didn’t it?

Explain to me how wanting to be fiscally responsible is extremist; you are the extremist.  Do you attack liberals for favoring socialist and communist policies? Do you call out Democrats and the media for worshipping President Obama when he was running for president?
