Americans Will Support the President’s Jobs Plan [FoxNews.com]
“The American people will support the president’s plan — they know, like it or not, that the private sector isn’t hiring and robust government spending on jobs is what got us out of the Great Depression and what will kickstart economic growth once again.”

Sally… your article is just plain wrong. Obama may not have caused the problems prior to 2009, but he has caused everything that has happened since 2009. Not one plan, idea or action he has taken has helped this economy. Obama’s action and those of the Democrat party have increased unemployment, caused millions of people to be unemployed, made us less safe at home and abroad and caused gas prices to nearly triple.
The man known as Barrack Hussein Obama has a chip on his shoulder and wants America to have the prestige of France, Germany or even Iran.
America is exceptional, President Obama is not. We can do better, we deserve better. And I dont care who it is; Hillary Clinton, Michelle Bachman, Mitt Romney or Mickey Mouse.
Its time to throw the bums out again and try again.

Give me a break. The Republicans have blocked his every move and are determined to bring him down. Block him and then whine, “Obama isn’t doing anything.”
Your inclusion of “Hussein” is a not so subtle reminder of the untrue notion that Obama is a Muslim (By the way, what if he were?). Shades of Mark Levine. Your motives are unpure.
Sally,
I enjoyed your article. Not necassarily for its slant or even for the partial truth’s that you write, but for the insight into how a liberal thinks.
While it is true that our system favors special interest in tax codes and regulations you mention only the oil companies and leave out the ecologists, abortion providers, and other favorites of liberalism. The problem is very widespread.
It is our elected officials that accept the favors of special interest that join with others in a quid pro quo to pass this damaging legislation and regulation. Term limits and strict adherance to moral rules should be instituted to reign in elected officials. One should not profit by serving the taxpayer, including a lucrative lobbying position for a family member or after one’s term expires.
Business will not invest when they believe that there is a consumer for their goods and services. Business invest to make a profit for the owner (shareholder). While I agree with your point about special interest being a much longer term problem than the current resident on Pennsylvania Avenue, his mishandling of the situation and the constant state of uncertainty is a devastating problem.
Keynesian economics does not work here. Putting money in the hands of the middle and lower class will spur some minor economic activity. It will not rescue this economy. The landscape must be settled. That would include: tax reform, tort reform, the reformation of entitlement programs, a balanced budget, the repeal of Obamacare, and term limits. In the end a business or an investor will seek to limit as many variables as he/she can before investing. If the future is too uncertain one will just choose to sit on the capital. That is where we are today. This economy will not move until the above mentioned items are clarified to the point that investors (business’) are able to invest their capital in the long term.
Your final point is flawed. While I agree that the Republicans are scantly better than the President and the tax and spend left, Mr. Obama’s idea’s are dated and impotent at best. A complete new direction is warrented. Government is never the solution. At best it can only set the environment, which it has done a very poor job of doing. The market (not the stock market) must operate for it’s own gain and that will create jobs.
Yes, Americans need jobs.
What they do NOT need is the government
trying to dictate which jobs they should have. Who does this president
think he is? He’s going to create jobs that construction contractors
are SERIOUSLY going to (for starters) bid on, the lowest of whom will
get the contract, and then bring on the same crew they’ve probably had
for the past “ump-teen” years.
Meanwhile, the money’s being
spent, nobody new has been hired, another colossal waste of time and
money and the kid who’s spent the last several years in college pursuing
a degree for what he thinks will be a lucrative career has a temp
project he can do for cash until the contract runs out, during which
time his degree becomes worthless and he gets no real-world experience
in his chosen field of endeavor.
Is anyone really buying this
load? While I realize this column is a pure opinion piece, I can’t help
but drop the “opinion” part and just refer to it as a “piece”. You should be ashamed of yourself for playing the role of cheerleader for such a slanted proposal.
Speaking of which, would you pick up a shovel and help build a highway, or are you content in your role as “Mouthpiece in Chief”?
i agree with chris
Sally – You are a total idiot like most liberals.
