Democrats want to keep student loan rates low and raise taxes slightly on millionaires and billionaires. Republicans voted to let student loan rates *double* — and voted to *cut* taxes for the super-rich. There’s your class warfare, folks!

Why is the cost of college increasing by almost 10% annually when inflation around 3%? Because the govt continues to provide an unlimited source of funding. College costs will continue to rise as long as there is an unlimited source of funding. Another way that the Govt is distorting the price.

Why should I save for my kids education? If I am responsible and save then I will end up paying the full price of education while funding others who pay nothing through increased taxes. When my kids go to college a 4 year degree will cost $400,000. I should just spend that money, live in the moment and know that the govt. will cover my costs down the road.

I have an idea. Keep the student loan interest rate low. Its a good idea. Why does that mean we have to raise taxes somewhere? If it needs to be paid for, then it needs to be paid for with reduced spending in other parts of the budget.
