Fox News Debate: Gun Lobby Hiding Behind Feminism?
In case you missed it, extremist gun rights advocates have lately been claiming that this is a women’s rights issues — that unrestricted gun ownership is the best and only way to fight violence against women. Not, for instance, passing the Violence Against Women Act and actually prosecuting violence against women. Anyway…. Here’s me debating the subject on America Live with Megyn Kelly:

yj women should have the right to defend herself and her children, with any weapon she choses. thats a no brainer.
we need to get rid of the NRA . they are the problem! how can you pass gun laws when most of washington have their pockets stuffed with money from theNRA?
SIGNED ,DISGUSTED
While using “women’s rights” as a point concerning gun ownership mis-directs the actual point of the issue being discussed (namely the second amendment and the word “infringement”). It is not that far fetched given how Democratic liberalism has used “women’s rights” to misdirect the discussion concerning the human rights of the unborn. Or how “civil rights” is used to push quota systems in hiring practices.
The point is that no one (including you Sally) likes to discuss an issue on its shear merit by acknowledging all of the “pesky facts.” So when one side misrepresents an issue in such a manner, the other cries foul !
Sally is extremly misguided and insanely liberal. Her words are so self deluded and out of touch with reality. Please Sally get a real job and stop spouting drivel that someone else has related to you. I would love to hear some original thoughts from either Republicans or Democrats. People should break from the two party thought divide and become more involved with the process. “We the People” did not mean we the Democrat or Republican! The political system is so altered and adulterated that it is not what the founding fathers were wanting to create. We should not cling to one or the other any more because they are both dysfunctional. Although I don’t think Sally would ever read the postings people place here, I would hope that logic and lucidity would prevail amongst “the people”.
