In which, while discussing climate change action in Obama’s second term, I (correctly) assert that 97% of the world’s scientists agree that climate change is real and man-made. Which doesn’t stop my conservative antagonist from denying that fact in his response. Enjoy:

evidently you failed to read the latest scientific facts the UN put out, that all the top scientists now agree that the Sun is causing most if not all the climate changes we have seen. Sorry you dont have the time or inclination to state the true facts. Libs are sooo good at jumping to Obummers call. ahahah

Here is a quote from the UN Climate Change Report, “There is consistent evidence from observations of a net energy uptake of the earth system due to an imbalance in the energy budget. It is virtually certain that this is caused by human activities, primarily by the increase in CO2 concentrations. There is very high confidence that natural forcing contributes only a small fraction to this imbalance.” Scientist are 99% confident climate change is cuased by human activity.

    Ms. Kohn,

Came here from a Fox News link and coincidentally happen to live in the area that this proposed pipeline passes through. One comment I’d like to make is that we have hundreds of gas and oil pipelines that pass through here and we have no problems with them at all. They are just there. Surprised? Look here at the published maps of oil and gas pipelines http://www.mapsearch.com/gis-asset-data/natural-gas-gis-data.html

It’s a safe bet that most Americans have no idea that all of these pipelines exist and are doing no damage at all but they sure get up in arms about one new pipline, Keystone.

Now, for the most important part of what I notice about your site. Your clock’s wrong. As I write it is 8:29 AM MST in Wyoming and Western Nebraska but the other commentors posts are tagged with happening today at 1:05PM and 2:26PM so either I’m in a time warp which usually only happens between Henry and Morrill, NE or your clock’s off. :)

U.N. clUN climagte change reports have been debunked as inaccurate and disingenuous–the activity of the sun is accepted as the primary cause of climate change, particularly by the scientists not part of the nefarious agendas of the U.N. bunch. You need to be aware of what the UN Climate Change conferences are really about–lots of info out there.

what’s with these icons over the comment screen- I really can spell ( a lot of words, anyway)

really should have someone work on this–kind of like Sally and her pesky website.

  7. Really Sally, 97% of no one agrees on anything. Many climatologist don’t subscribe to climate change. I checked with Vogue, Google, Albert Einstein’s Papers, the Flat Earth Society, and the Bible and they don’t agree with your facts. Since the Little Ice Age ended in the mid 1800′s there is not enough data to confirm that the climate is out of historical norms. What little accurate data we do have has not been outside of the variations of the past century and a half. Yes there was a Little Ice age that lasted for about 400 years and ruined so much grain crops that they were supplanted by root crops (like potatoes). Peace!
