Here are clips of two segments I did late on election night on Fox News:

From my latest Salon column. I know it’s not likely, but it she really should…
Alaska received more stimulus dollars per capita than any other state in the nation. For instance, as of August of 2010 (when the bulk of stimulus spending had been dispatched), Alaska had an unemployment rate of 7.9 percent (two points below the national average) but received $3,145 per person in federal stimulus dollars. But Florida, with an unemployment rate at 11.4 percent got just $914 in per capita stimulus spending. And, incidentally, Alaska is not a poor state — with oil revenues that make up 88 percent of the state’s general fund.
Red states generally receive more federal spending than they pay in taxes.

Fox News asked me to write a column on why I am voting for President Obama on November 6th. I was more than happy to oblige. Here’s an excerpt:
President Obama wants to ensure all of us have a shot at the American Dream — that our public schools, our health care system, our safety nets and our economy work just as well for your kids whether you’re rich or poor or somewhere in the middle, that the American Dream can never be downsized or shipped to China.
And when disaster strikes, whether it’s the storms of nature or poverty or a terrorist attack, President Obama will ensure our government is there not to get in the way but to help. Through the most trying of times, from when the walls of Wall Street came crashing down to when our forces crashed through the walls of Abbottabad, President Obama has been a strong leader for a strong nation — upholding the very best of our values and offering the best promise for our future.

I joined Imus in the morning for a debate on current political issues with Imus producer Bernard McGuirk. It was a fun conversation, check it out:

In my latest piece for Salon, I explore why Obama and the Democrats have Springsteen, Eva Longoria, George Clooney and many, many more celebrity backers — while Republicans just have Clint Eastwood:
Hollywood does not lean Democratic because the warmer weather in California breeds open-mindedness or because of some master ideological plot. Popular culture is overwhelmingly liberal because Americans overwhelmingly favor liberal popular culture.

I was asked to add my $0.02 for FoxNews.com’s roundup of opinions on the second presidential debate. Here’s what I said:
If Mitt Romney hopes to stay viable in this election, he better do more explaining and less interrupting. And telling the truth would help, too!
You can read the rest of the responses here.
Is the second presidential debate a make or break moment for President Obama? Hardly…. Here’s my response to Politico’s latest Arena topic:
All President Obama needs to do is show up. If Mitt Romney yet again fails to provide details for his tax plan or backtracks on statements he’s made previously, the president should cede his time to give Mitt Romney a chance, once and for all, to honestly and fully tell the American people his plan for America. And then let’s see if Mitt Romney can win with the truth.
If you like my response, share it here.
Here’s an excerpt:
We’ll all be talking about debate styles for the next day or so. But the American people will be talking about the holes in Mitt Romney’s platform until Election Day.
And here’s the whole thing.
From my latest:
Despite baseless Republican assertions to the contrary, Barack Obama has sought from Day One to take responsibility for his actions as President. So, after three and a half years in which Republicans have blocked every piece of legislation Obama has proposed and generally been as uncooperative as possible — economic recovery be damned — Obama repeated this weekend what he has said before: “I take full responsibility for everything that we do.”
And yet Mitt Romney still refuses to take responsibility even for his own tax returns.
